What Is THC?

Tetrahydrocannabinol, more commonly known as THC, is the principal psychoactive cannabinoid found in the trichome resin glands on the cannabis flower. This complex compound is responsible for the visual “high” that most people associate with marijuana, as well as some of its amazing medicinal benefits.

THC has many different effects on both the body and the mind, with its psychoactive visual, mental and auditory alterations being the most notable. It is also known to provide mild to moderate euphoria and relaxation due to the release of dopamine and ease of muscle tension. Tetrahydrocannabinol acts upon many different cannabinoid receptors throughout the entire body and in turn provides us with many amazing medicinal qualities.

Many labs all across the globe have found THC to be an appetite stimulant, help to suppress muscle spasms and aid in the relief of nausea and vomiting due to such things as chemo therapy side effects. THC has also been known to help with such medical conditions as Multiple Sclerosis, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Asthma and Glaucoma, just to name a few.
